χρόνου δ’ οὐ μακροῦ διελθόντος, ἐπιὼν τοὺς δεσμώτας ὁρᾷ συννοίας καὶ κατηφείας γέμοντας μᾶλλον ἢ πρότερον τοὺς εὐνούχους καὶ στοχασάμενος ἐκ τῆς σφοδρᾶς λύπης προσπεπτωκέναι τι νεώτερον ἐπυνθάνετο τὴν αἰτίαν.
