κἂν μυρίους τοῦ σώματος ἔχῃ δεσπότας. ὀρθότατα μέντοι φαμένου „πότισόν με μικρὸν ὕδωρ“, οὐκ ἀποκρίνεται τὸν ἀκόλουθον τρόπον· ποτιῶ, ἀλλά φησι· „πίε“· τοῦτο μὲν γὰρ ἐπιδεικνυμένης τὸν θεῖον ἦν πλοῦτον, ὃς ἅπασι τοῖς ἀξίοις καὶ δυναμένοις χρῆσθαι προκέχυται, ἐκεῖνο δὲ ἐπαγγελλομένης διδάξειν· οὐδὲν δὲ τῶν ἐξ ἐπαγγέλματος οἰκεῖον ἀρετῇ.
