ἡ δὲ ῥάβδος παιδείας σύμβολον· ἄνευ γὰρ τοῦ δυσωπηθῆναι καὶ περὶ ἐνίων ἐπιπληχθῆναι νουθεσίαν ἐνδέξασθαι καὶ σωφρονισμὸν ἀμήχανον. δεκὰς δὲ τῆς κατὰ προκοπὴν τελειώσεως πίστις, ἀφ’ ἧς ὅσιον ἀπάρχεσθαι τῷ τέξαντι, τῷ παιδεύσαντι, τῷ τὰ ἐλπισθέντα τελεσφορήσαντι.
