γήθει τε καὶ εὐφραίνεται. διὰ μὲν δὴ ταῦτα καὶ τὸ πάλαι λεχθέν, ὅτι πέφυκεν ἐξ ἑαυτῶν φωνὴν ἀφιέναι, κἂν ἡσυχάζηται, τὰ ὅσια ἅτε ὄντως ἀγαθά, τὸν περὶ αὐτῶν λόγον ἐῶ· οὐδὲ γὰρ ἥλιος ἢ σελήνη χρῄζουσιν ἑρμηνέως, ὅτι τὸν σύμπαντα κόσμον, ὁ μὲν ἡμέρας, ἡ δὲ νυκτὸς ἀνασχόντες, φωτὸς ἐμπιπλᾶσιν· ἀλλ’ ἔστιν αὐτοῖς ἡ ἐπίλαμψις ἀμάρτυρος πίστις ὀφθαλμοῖς ὤτων ἐναργεστέρῳ κριτηρίῳ βεβαιουμένη.
