ἴδε γέ τοι τὸν ἀσκητὴν Ἰακὼβ ἕψοντα αὐτήν, ὅτε καὶ „Ἠσαῦ ἐκλείπων“ (Gen. 25,29) εὐθὺς εὑρίσκεται· θεμέλιος γὰρ τῷ φαύλῳ κακία καὶ πάθος, οἷς ἐπερηρεισμένος, ὅταν ἐξηττημένα καὶ παρειμένα ὑπὸ τοῦ αἱροῦντος αὐτὰ λόγου θεάσηται, κατὰ τὸ εἰκὸς ἐκλύεται τοὺς ἰσχύος δεσμούς.
