ἆρ’ οὐχὶ τοῖς ἐνεργοῦσι καὶ δρῶσι; κατορθοῦντες μὲν γὰρ ἔπαινον, ψόγον δ’ ἔμπαλιν καρποῦνται διαμαρτάνοντες. οἱ δ’ ἄνευ τοῦ τι ποιεῖν ἐπιστήμονες αὐτὸ μόνον, ἀκίνδυνον γέρας εἰληφότες ἡσυχίαν ἠρεμοῦσιν.
