Τῷ μὲν δὴ Σὴμ εὔχεται ταῦτα· τῷ δ’ Ἰάφεθ ὁποῖα, θεασώμεθα· „πλατύναι“ φησίν „ὁ θεὸς τῷ Ἰάφεθ, καὶ κατοικησάτω ἐν τοῖς οἴκοις τοῦ Σήμ, καὶ γενέσθω Χαναὰν δοῦλος αὐτοῖς„ (Gen. 9, 27).
