Νόμοι δὲ ἱερέων εἰσὶν οἵδε. παντελῆ καὶ ὁλόκληρον εἶναι τὸν ἱερέα προστέτακται, μηδεμίαν ἐν τῷ σώματι λώβην ἔχοντα, μήτε κατ’ ἔνδειαν ἐπιλείποντος ἢ ἀκρωτηριασθέντος μέρους μήτε κατὰ πλεονασμὸν ἅμα τῇ γενέσει περιττεύσαντος ἢ ὕστερον ἐκ νόσου προσφύντος μήτε τῆς χρόας μεταβαλούσης εἰς λέπραν ἢ λειχῆνας ἀγρίους ἢ μυρμηκίας ἤ τινας ἄλλας ἐξανθημάτων ἐκφύσεις· ἅ μοι δοκεῖ πάντα σύμβολα τῆς περὶ ψυχὴν εἶναι τελειότητος.
