τούτων γὰρ ἕκαστον ἰδίᾳ καθ’ αὑτό, εἰ δεῖ τἀληθὲς εἰπεῖν, δύναμίς ἐστιν· ἀθρόα δ’ εἰ συνέλθοιεν, ῥώμην ἄμαχόν τινα καὶ ἀνανταγώνιστον ἐκ πολλοῦ τοῦ περιόντος ἐπιδείξονται, κρατοῦντες ἀναιμωτὶ τῶν πολεμίων.
