Ἀποστρέφου τῶν κολάκων τοὺς ἀπατηλοὺς λόγους· ἐξαμβλύνοντες γὰρ τοὺς τῆς ψυχῆς λογισμοὺς οὐ συγχωροῦσιν <ἰδεῖν> τῶν πραγμάτων τὴν ἀλήθειαν· ἢ γὰρ ἐπαινοῦσι τὰ ψόγου ἄξια ἢ ψέγουσι πολλάκις τὰ ἐπαίνων κρείττονα.
