ἢ τὸ τρία, ἅ τινα πάλιν εἰς μονάδα συστέλλονται. Διὸ καὶ προσεπάγει πάλιν «τὸ ἓν», ἀναδιπλασιάσασα τὴν φωνήν. Ταύτῃ δὲ κατακολουθήσας καὶ Ζώσιμος ἔλεγεν· «Πάντα γὰρ ἐκ μονάδος προέρχεται καὶ εἰς μονάδα καταλήγει», τὴν γενικὴν πρῶτον εἰπὼν μονάδα, εἰς τὸ κατ' ἀριθμὸν ἔληξεν, τὴν τελείωσιν τοῦ ξηρίου σημάνας.
