κελεύεις μοι μὴ βλέπειν κἀγὼ σοὶ μὴ βλέπεσθαι. τίς τοῦτο κελεύει νομοθέτης; τίς δὲ καὶ ἐκεῖνο; εἰ δὲ μηδέτερον κεκώλυται, μήτε ἑαυτὴν ἀφαιροῦ τῆς ἐς ἐπίδειξιν εὐδοκιμήσεως, μήτε ἐμὲ τῆς ἐς τέρψιν ἐξουσίας. οὐδὲ πηγὴ λέγει μὴ πίῃς, οὐδὲ ὀπώρα μὴ λάβῃς, οὐδὲ λειμὼν μὴ προσέλθῃς. ἕπου καὶ σὺ τοῖς νόμοις καὶ διψῶντα παῦσον.
