ὁ μοιχὸς καὶ πείσας σφαλερώτατον ἀνάλωμα καὶ ὀδυνηρὸν μὴ τυγχάνων, τῆς μὲν γὰρ εὐπραγίας κίνδυνος ὁ νόμος, τῆς δὲ λύπης μισθὸς ὁ ἔρως. φοβεῖσθαι δὲ ἄμεινον τυχόντα ὧν βούλεταί τις ἢ ἀνιᾶσθαι ἀμελούμενον.
