ἁρπῶ· ἐξ οὗ τὸ ἁρπάζω· ἐν χρήσει μὲν οὐκ οἶδα 〈τὸ〉 πρωτότυπον. τὸ δὲ ἁρπῶ αὐτὸ παράγωγον ἀπὸ τοῦ ἅρπη παρηγμένον· ἅρπη δέ ἐστιν εἶδος ὀρνέου· ἁρπακτικὸν γάρ. ὡς φωνή φωνῶ, αὐδή αὐδῶ, σιγή σιγῶ, οὕτως ἅρπη ἁρπῶ. οὕτω Φιλόξενος περὶ Ῥωμαίων διαλέκτου.
