ὑπέρινον τὸ σφόδρα λεπτόν· ἰνῶ ἐστι ῥῆμα τὸ ἐκκενῶ· ὅθεν ὑπέρινον ἄνδρα λέγουσι τὸν λεπτὸν καὶ κενὸν σαρκῶν. Φιλόξενος ἐν τῷ περὶ τῆς Ῥωμαίων διαλέκτου.
