6 οὐχ οὕτωϲ δὲ εὐλαβητέον τὰ μεγάλα τραύματα ἐπὶ τῶν λυϲϲοδήκτων, ὡϲ τὰ μικρὰ καὶ ταῖϲ ἀμυχαῖϲ ἐμφερῆ· διὰ μὲν γὰρ τῶν μειζόνων ἁθροῦν καὶ πολὺ τὸ αἴμα προχεόμενον δύναιτ’ ἄν τιϲ καὶ τοῦ ἰοῦ ϲυναποκλύζειν, διὰ δὲ τῶν μικροτέρων οὐδαμῶϲ· ὅθεν ἐπὶ μὲν τῶν μειζόνων τὰϲ ἀφιϲταμέναϲ ϲάρκαϲ αὐτόθεν ἀφαιρετέον καὶ τὰ χείλη περιγλυπτέον, ἐπὶ δὲ τῶν μικροτέρων μείζονα τόπον διὰ τῆϲ ἀκμῆϲ περιγραπτέον· ἀναϲταθείϲηϲ δὲ δηλονότι τῆϲ ϲαρκὸϲ ἀγκίϲτρῳ ἢ μυδίῳ τὴν ἐκτομὴν ἐπιτελεϲτέον.
