τοῦτο γὰρ εἰπεῖν φασιν ἕνα τῶν στρατηγῶν Λεύκιον Κόϊντον, ὑφʼ οὗ μάλιστα πεισθέντες ἐψηφίσαντο πέμπειν διαδόχους τῷ Λουκούλλῳ τῆς ἐπαρχίας, ἐψηφίσαντο δὲ καὶ τῶν ὑπʼ αὐτῷ στρατευομένων πολλοὺς ἀφεῖσθαι στρατείας.
