ταῦτʼ, ὦ Φαβωρῖνε, τοῖς εἰρημένοις ὑφʼ ἑτέρων παράβαλλε· κἂν μήτε λείπηται τῇ πιθανότητι μήτε ὑπερέχῃ πολύ, χαίρειν ἔα τὰς δόξας, τὸ ἐπέχειν ἐν τοῖς ἀδήλοις τοῦ συγκατατίθεσθαι φιλοσοφώτερον ἡγούμενος.
