Cod. Paris. sic habet: Οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Ἴδμων, ὃν ἔχρησεν ἡ Πυθία Μεγαρεῦσι καὶ Βοιωτοῖς ὡς πολιοῦχον ἱλάσκεσθαι ὅτε Ἡράκλειαν κτίζειν ἔμελλον. Τοῦτο δὲ λέγει, ἐπειδὴ οἱ Ἡρακλεῶται ἠγνόουν τὸν δηλωθέντα πολιοῦχον ὑπὸ Ἀπόλλωνος διὰ χρησμοῦ, καὶ διὰ τοῦτο ἀντ' ἐκείνου Ἀγαπήστορα (l. Ἀγαμήστορα) τινὰ, ἐγχώριον ἥρωα, ἐτίμων. Τοῦτο δὲ Προμαθίδας φησίν.
