Οὗτος Ναθὰν ὁ προφήτης ἦν ἐκ Γαβαὼν ἐπὶ Δαβὶδ καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν ὁ διδάξας αὐτὸν τὸν νόμον τοῦ κυρίου καὶ εἶδεν, ὅτι Δαβὶδ ἐν τῇ Βηρσαβεὲ παραβήσεται καὶ σπεύδοντι ἐλθεῖν καὶ ἀναγγεῖλαι αὐτῷ ἐνεπόδισεν ὁ Βελίαρ. Ἐρχόμενος δὲ κατὰ τὴν ὁδόν, εὗρε νεκρὸν κείμενον γυμνὸν ἐσφαγμένον· καὶ ἀπέμεινε δι᾽ αὐτὸν ἐκεῖ. Οὗτος ἀπέθανε καὶ ἐτάφη εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτοῦ ἐν Γαβαών.
