Οἷς δὲ κατὰ περιόδους αἵματος οὔρησις γίγνεται, πρὶν μὲν κενωθῆναι τοῦ αἵματος, βαρεῖς κατὰ ὀσφὺν καὶ ἐπώδυνοί εἰσιν· κενωθέντες δὲ ἐπικουφίζονται, ὥσπερ ἐπὶ αἱμοῤῥοΐδι. Χρὴ οὖν φλέβα τέμνειν ἐν ἀγκῶνι, ὀλίγον τῆς περιόδου ἔμπροσθεν. Τὸ μὲν κεφάλαιον τῆς Θεραπείας τόδε· διαιτᾷν δὲ, ὥσθε μὴ πληθώραν ὑπογίγνεσθαι, καὶ τὰ ἄνω γυμνάζειν.
