206. ἤτοι διασταλτέον ἐπὶ τὸ ἐλθεῖν, ἵνα στίζωμεν ἐπὶ τὸ Ἀχαιούς καὶ ἀπʼ ἄλλης ἀρχῆς εὐκτικῶς ᾖ λεγόμενα τὰ ἑξῆς “ταῦτά τε πάντα πύθοιτο·” ἢ στικτέον ἐπὶ τὸ ἐλθεῖν καὶ ἀπὸ ἄλλης ἀρχῆς “εἴ τινά που δηίων ἕλοι ἐσχατόωντα,” ἵν’ ὑποστίζωμεν ἐπὶ τὸ ἐσχατόωντα [καὶ σφίσιν] καὶ Ἀχαιούς καὶ πύθοιτο καὶ ἀσκηθής, τοῦ λόγου τοιούτου γινομένου· εἴ τινα τῶν πολεμίων ἀνέλοι καὶ γνοίη τί βουλεύονται οἱ Τρῶες, καὶ ταῦτα πυθόμενος ὑποστρέψειε, μεγάλην ἂν ἔχοι δόξαν.
