τὸ δὲ τούνεκα ἢ ὅτι τῷ στόματι μείζων, ἢ ὅτι ὀργίλη ἐστὶ τῷ δήγματι. ἀλλ’ ἤτοι θέρεος: οἷον ἀρχομένου τοῦ θέρους πικρότατά εἰσι τὰ ἑρπετά. τὸ δὲ ἐξαλέασθαι ἀπαρέμφατόν ἐστιν ἀντὶ προστακτικοῦ, ἤτοι ἀντὶ τοῦ ἐξάλυξον καὶ ἔκφυγε.
