ἐν δὲ τῷ χαλαζήεντα εἶδος ἀντὶ γένους παρέλαβεν. εἰσὶ γὰρ σκορπίοι χαλαζήεντες διὰ τὸ τοὺς δεδηγμένους ὑπ’ αὐτῶν ἱδροῦν, ὡς ὑπὸ χαλάζης ἢ ὑετοῦ βεβρεγμένους. Τιτηνὶς δὲ ἡ Ἄρτεμις, ἡ Λητοῦς θυγάτηρ καὶ Κοίου τοῦ Τιτᾶνος.
