Αἱ δὲ φλύκταιναι ἀραιαὶ τὼς εἴτε, ἀντὶ τοῦ ὡς εἴτε, πομφόλυγες χαμηλαὶ ἢ θαμιναὶ ἐν πυρὶ ζέοντος ὕδατος γίνονται, οὕτω πλαδόωσί, φησι, καὶ ἐν τῷ σώματι τοῦ δηχθέντος. ὥσπερ γίνονται πομφόλυγες ἐν τῷ ὕδατι τῷ πυρί, οὕτως γίνονται αἱ φλύκταιναι αἱ ἀραιαί. ἀραιαὶ δὲ τουτέστιν ἀσθενεῖς καὶ κεναί. οὐδὲν γὰρ ἔχουσιν, ἀλλὰ κεναί εἰσιν. πομφόλυγες δὲ αἱ ἀναρρήξεις τοῦ ὕδατος.
