αἱ δ’ ὑπὸ γυίοις: αἱ δὲ ὑπὸ τοῖς μέλεσιν ὠτειλαὶ ῥήγνυνται. εἶπε γὰρ ὅτι ὅλον τὸ σῶμα πελιδνοῦται καὶ ὠτειλῶν πληροῦται· ὠτειλαὶ δὲ αἱ πληγαί εἰσι. καὶ Ἀπολλώνιος δέ φησι τῶν πληγέντων ὑπὸ αἱμορροΐδος ῥήγνυσθαι καὶ τὰς ὠτειλάς. πίμπραται: τουτέστιν ὑποκαίεται καὶ πυροῦται τὰ οὖλα, ὡς ὑπὸ πεπέρεως ἢ σινάπεως, ἤγουν πυρακτοῦνται καὶ ἀναβράζουσιν. ἀσταγὲς δὲ ἤτοι ἄστακτον ἢ μὴ στάζον, ἀλλὰ κρουνηδὸν φερόμενον, οἱονεὶ πολυσταγές. μυδόωντες δὲ ἤτοι δυσώδεις, δίυγροι τῇ σήψει τῶν οὔλων καὶ τοῦ αἵματος· ἢ ὄζοντες, καὶ δυσωδίαν πνέοντες.
