Ἀντὶ τοῦ ποτὲ μὲν δηγμὸν ποιοῦσιν ἐπὶ τῷ διύγρῳ ποτῷ ποθέντι τῷ χείλει, ποτὲ δὲ περὶ τὰ νείατα καὶ ἔσχατα τῆς γαστρὸς, τουτέστι περὶ τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς, ἤγουν περὶ τὸν στόμαχον· οἱ μὲν οὖν στόμαχον, ἄλλοι δὲ πύλην, ἄλλοι δὲ δοχεῖον βρωμάτων τὴν γαστέρα ὀνομάζουσιν· ἐκ δὲ τοῦ στόμια κατὰ συγκοπὴν γίνεται στόμα, ὡς μηρία μηρά.
