Ἡ δ’ ὕλη ὑπακούει καὶ πείθεται κατὰ τὸν θεσμὸν τοῦ ἐχθομένου πυρὸς, οὐ καθόλου δὲ τὸ πῦρ ἐχθόμενον λέγει, ἀλλὰ τῇ ὕλῃ ἐχθόμενον διὰ τὸ ἀφανίζεσθαι αὐτὴν ὑπ’ αὐτοῦ.
