Εὐβρεχέος· τῷ μὲν τοῦτο πεπωκότι τὸ ἄλγος ἀρήξει τὸ μετὰ γλεύκους ἐνστῦφον πόμα τοῦ ἀψινθίου· εἴωθε γὰρ τὰ πικρὰ καὶ δριμέα στύφοντα καλεῖν· τοὺς γοῦν ὄμφακας ἐπιστύφοντας εἶπεν· ὄμφακες (δ’) ἡνίκα χεῖλος ἐπιστύφουσι ποθεῖσαι. κελεύει οὖν ἐν γλεύκει βρέχειν ἀψίνθιον καὶ οὕτω διδόναι πίνειν, προστάττει δὲ καὶ ῥητίνην τερεβινθίνην ἢ πευκίνην λαβεῖν, ἢ πίτυος δάκρυον μετὰ γλεύκους, καὶ τὰ ἑξῆς.
