Κεραοῖο, ὅτι οἱ ἀρχαῖοι κέρασιν ἐχρῶντο ἐν τῇ πόσει ἀντὶ ποτηρίων, ὅθεν καὶ τὸ κεράσαι εἴρηται· ἢ διὰ τὸ ταυρωτικὸν τῶν πινόντων, τουτέστι τὴν ἀπὸ τοῦ οἴνου ἰσχὺν, ὡς κέρατα ἐχόντων, ὁ δὲ Διόνυσος καὶ ταυρόκερως λέγεται.
