Ἀφυσγετὸς δὲ καλεῖται κυρίως μὲν ὁ ἐκ τῶν ποταμῶν γινόμενος συρφετὸς, ἤτοι ἡ ἀθροιζομένη χορτώδης ὕλη, νῦν δ’ εἴρηκε διὰ τὸ πᾶσαν ἀκαθαρσίαν τοῦ σώματος εἰς τὴν γαστέρα συνερρυηκέναι.
