Τηνεσμῷ τῇ διατάσει· διαφέρει τηνεσμὸς καὶ δυσεντέριον, σύνεγγυς μέντοι ἀλλήλων· καὶ γὰρ ἔστι πάθος, ὃ καλεῖται χορδαψὸς, τηνεσμὸς δ’ ἐστὶν, ὃν νῦν λέγομεν βιασμόν. Ἄλλως· τοῖς τηνεσμώδεσι παρακολουθεῖ δυσεντερία, εἶτα ὁ χορδαψὸς, ὃν δή φασι συναμματιζομένου τοῦ ἐντέρου, ὁτὲ προηγεῖταί τηνεσμὸς, ὁτὲ δυσεντερία, τηνεσμῷ περὶ τὸ δυσεντέριον τάσις.
