Τήθη τε· τὰς ἀγρίας λεπάδας, ἃς ἡμεῖς ὠτία λέγομεν, ὁ δ’ Ἀριστοτέλης ὄστρεια, καὶ Ὅμηρος (Il. π 747) κοινῶς τὰ ὄστρεια. Τὸ δὲ δὴν ἔσεται, ἤτοι πολὺ ἀπέσται ἀντὶ τοῦ ἐκτὸς ἔσται. Καὶ τὸ γεραιόμενον αὐξανόμενον ἐν τοῖς βρύοις, ἢ νηχόμενον, ἢ ἀγρευόμενον, ἢ κοσμούμενον.
