Ἀλθαίνει καὶ γέντα· ἐν ἄλλω οὕτως· ἀλθαίνει τότ’ ἔνερθε πυρὸς ζαφλεγοῖο κεραίης· τὸ γὰρ ἔνερθε πυρὸς ζαφλεγοῖο κεραίης τὸ ἄγαν σφοδρῶς ἐν τῇ σποδιᾷ τοῦ κέρατος ἑψηθῆναι ταῦτα δηλοῖ· κεραία γαρ λέγεται τὸ ἄκρον καὶ ἔσχατον, ἡ χαλβάνη δ’ ὀπός ἐστιν ἐκ τῆς ῥίζης τῶν πανάκων πεπηγμένος.
