Ξηρὰ δέ· βήσσων διὰ χέλυος, τουτέστι τοῦ στήθους, τὴν ἀναφορὰν τῶν ἐρυγμάτων ποιεῖται ἄπαυστον· καὶ Ἱπποκράτης· ἀναχελύσσεται καὶ ἐρυγγάνει θαμινὰ πνεύματα· καὶ τῆς κιθάρας τὸ στῆθος χέλυς λέγεται. Χελλύσσεται· τὸ στῆθος πάσχει. Ἂλλως· χελλύσσεται, τουτέστι διὰ τὴν χέλυν τὴν ἀναφορὰν ποιεῖται βήσσων.
