τὸ καυχᾶσθαι παρὰ καιρόν: τὸ γοῦν ἐπὶ ταῖς οὕτως ἀκαίροις καὶ οὐκ ἀναγκαίαις διηγήσεσι καυχᾶσθαι καὶ σεμνύνεσθαι μανίας ὅμοιόν ἐστιν. τοῦτο δὲ εἴρηκε παρόσον ἀσεβεῖν δόξει, ἐὰν τὸν Ἡρακλέα ἐγκωμιάζῃ ἐπὶ τῷ τοὺς θεοὺς νενικηκέναι.
