a. οἴκοθεν: διὰ τῶν οἰκείων ἀρετῶν. b. τὸ πόρσω: τὸ ἐπέκεινα τῆς στήλης. c. ἄλλως· τὸ δὲ περαιτέρω τῶν Ἡρακλέους στηλῶν χωρεῖν οὔτε σοφὸς οὔτε μὴ σοφὸς | ζητήσειεν ἄν· ἀλλ᾿ οὐδὲ αὐτὸς ἐγὼ τὸ τοιοῦτον διώξω· εἴην γὰρ ἂν κενός τις καὶ ἀπαίδευτος.
