Τῷ δὲ υἱῷ τοῦ θεοῦ εἶπεν ὅτι Οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ἄρτοι γένωνται Ἀκόλουθον ἦν τῷ λογισμῷ, τῷ δὲ υἱῷ τοῦ θεοῦ ἁρμόζει καὶ μεταβάλλειν. Ὁ δὲ σωτὴρ προκρίνας τῷ λογισμῷ τὴν ἀλήθειαν ἔρχεται ἐπὶ τὴν τῶν γραφῶν μαρτυρίαν καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ· Οὐκ ἐπ’ ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ἄνθρωπος, ἀλλ’ ἐν παντὶ ῥήματι ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος θεοῦ .
