Περὶ ἀστρολογιας ἢ μαθηματικῆς πρόκειται ζητῆσαι οὔτε τῆς τελείου ἐξ ἀριθμητικῆς καὶ γεωμετρίας συν εστώσης (ἀντειρήκαμεν γὰρ πρὸς τοὺς ἀπὸ τούτων τῶν μαθημάτων) οὔτε τῆς παρὰ τοῖς περὶ Εὔδοξον καὶ Ἥππ- αρχον καὶ τοὺς ὁμοίους προρρητικῆς δυνάμεως, ἥν δὴ καὶ ἀστρονομίαν τινὲς καλοῦσι
