Πάσα τοίνυν τέχνη (Stoic. fr. I 73 Arn.) σύστημά ἐστιν ἐκ καταλήψεων συγγεγυμνασμένων καὶ ἐπὶ τέλος εὔχρηστον τῶν ἐν τῷ βίῳ λαμβανουσῶν τὴν ἀναφοράν· ἡ δέ ῥητορικὴ οὐκ ἔστι σύστημα ἐκ καταλήψεων, ὡς παρα- στήσομεν· οὐκ ἄρα 〈τέχνη〉 ἐστιν ἡ ῥητορική.
