ὡσαύτως δὲ καὶ τὸ ἀρχόμενον ἀπὸ ψεύδους, ἐπ’ ἀληθὲς δὲ λῆγον ἐστὶν ἀληθές, ὡς τὸ “εἰ πέταται ἡ γῆ, ἔστιν ἡ γῆ”. μόνως δὲ γίνεται ψεῦδος, ὅταν ἀρχόμενον ἀπὸ ἀληθοῦς λήγῃ ἐπὶ ψεῦδος, ὁποῖόν ἐστι τὸ “εἰ ἡμέρα ἔστι, νὺξ ἔστιν”· ἡμέρας γὰρ οὔσης τὸ μὲν ‘‘ἡμέρα ἔστιν” ἀληθές ἐστιν, ὅπερ ἦν ἡγούμενον, τὸ δὲ “νὺξ ἔστι” ψεῦδός ἐστιν, ὅπερ ἦν λῆγον.
