ἐν δὲ τοῖς Κρατυντηρίοις, καίπερ ὑπεσχημένος ταῖς αἰσθήσεσι τὸ κράτος τῆς πίστεως ἀναθεῖναι, οὐδὲν ἧττον εὑρίσκεται τούτων καταδικάζων. φησὶ γάρ· “ἡμεῖς δὲ τῷ μὲν ἐόντι οὐδὲν ἀτρεκὲς συνίεμεν, μεταπῖπτον δὲ κατά τε σώματος διαθήκην καὶ τῶν έπεισιόντων καὶ τῶν καὶ τῶν ἀνἀπείροισιν τισηριζόντων.” καὶ πάλιν φησίν (B 10 Diels)· μέν νυν ὅτι οἷον ἕκαστον ἔστιν <ἢ> οὐκ ἔστιν οὐ συνίεμεν, πολλαχῇ δεδήλωται.”
