καθόλου τε, εἰ τὸν ἀθροισμὸν τῶν τοῦ λόγου μερῶν ὅλον ἡγήσονται λόγον, ἀκολουθήσει αὐτοῖς τὰ μέρη τοῦ λόγου ἀλλήλων λέγειν εἶναι μέρη. εἰ γὰρ μηδέν ὑπόκειται ὅλον παρʼ αὐτὰ οὗ γενήσεται μέρη, ἀλλήλων ἔσται μέρη. τοῦτο δὲ ὡς ἔστιν ἀλογώτατον, σκοπῶμεν.
