πάλιν εἰ ἐν λέξει μιᾷ ὁ βαρβαρισμὸς νοεῖται καὶ ἐν συν- θέσει λέξεων ὁ σολοικισμός, ἀλλʼ οὐκ ἐν τοῖς ὑποκειμένοις πράγμασι, πῶς ἥμαρτον εἰπὼν ‘οῦτοςʼ, δείκνυμι δέ γυ- ναῖκα, ἢ ‘αῦτηʼ, δείκνυμι δὲ νεανίαν ; οὐτε γὰρ ἐσολοί- κισα· οὐ γὰρ σύνθεσιν πολλῶν ἀκαταλλήλων λέξεων προ- ηνεγκάμην, ἀλλʼ ἁπίῆν τὴν οὐτος λέξιν ἢ αὕτη οὕτ’ ἐβαρβάρισα οὐδὲν γὰρ ἀούνηθες εἶχεν ἡ οὐτος λέξις, ὡς ἡ παρὰ τοῖς λεξανδρεῦσιν ‘ἐλήλυθανʼ καὶ ‘ἀπελήλυθανʼ.
