Καὶ μὴν τὸ ἀληθὲς ἤτοι τῶν κατὰ διαφορὰν καὶ φύσει ἐστὶν ἢ τῶν πρός τι· οὐδὲν δὲ τούτων ἐστίν, ὧς παραστήσομεν· οὐκ ἄρα ἔστι τἀληθές. κατὰ διαφορὰν μὲν οὖν καὶ φύσει οὐκ ἔστι τἀληθές, παρόσον τὸ κατὰ διαφορὰν καὶ φύσει ὑποκείμενον ὡσαύτως τοὺς ὁμοίως διακειμένους κινεῖ, οἶον τὸ θερμὸν οὐ πρὸς ἄλλον μέν ἐστι θερμὸν πρὸς ἄλλον δὲ ψυχρόν, ἀλλὰ πρὸς πάντας τούς ὡσαύτως διακειμένους θερμόν.
