καὶ ὡς γεωμετρία ἔσπακε μὲν τὴν κλῆσιν ἀρχικῶς ἀπὸ τῆς κατὰ τὴν γῆν κσταμετρήσεως, τάττεται δὲ ἐπὶ | τοῦ παρόντος καὶ κατὰ τῆς τῶν φυσικωτέρων θεωρίας, οὕτω καὶ ἡ τέλειος γραμ ματικὴ ἀπὸ τῆς τῶν γραμμάτων εἰδήσεως κατ’ ἀρχὰς ὀνομασθεῖσα διετάθη καὶ ἐπὶ τὴν ἐν τοῖς ποικιλωτέροις αὐτῶν καὶ τεχνικωτέροις θεωρήμασι γνῶσιν.
