καὶ Καλλίμαχος (epigr. 6 Pfeiffer) δέ, ποτὲ μὲν τὸ ποίημα καλῶν γράμμο ποτὲ δὲ τὸ καταλογαδην σύγγραμμα, ψησί· Κρεοφύλου πόνος εἰμί, δόμῳ ποτέ θεῖον ἀοιδόν δεξαμένου, κλείω δʼ Εὔρυτον ὅσσʼ ἔπαθεν καὶ ξανθὴν Ἰόλειαν, Ὁμήρειον δέ καλεῦμαι γράμμα. Κρεοφύλῳ, Ζεῦ φίλε, τοῦτο μέγα. καὶ πάλιν (epigr. 23 Pfeiffer) εἴπας ‘Ἥλιε χοῖρε’ Κλεόμβροτος Ἀμπρακιώτης ἥλατ’ ἀφʼ ὑψηλοῦ τείχεος εἰς Ἀίδην, ἄξιον οὐδέν ἰδὼν θανάτου τέλος, ἄλλὰ Πλάτωνος ἓν τὸ περὶ ψυχῆς γράμμʼ ἀναλεξάμενος.
