σὺν δὲ τούτοις καὶ ὁ περιεσκεμ- μένος τίνες τῶν λέξεων κατὰ τὴν συνήθειαν κεῖνται καὶ τίνες δοξαστῶς, τὸ ἑκάστῳ πρόσφορον ἀποδίδωσιν. ῾ βαλα- νεῖονʼ μὲν γὰρ ῾ ἀνδρεῖονʼ κατὰ τὴν συνήθειαν εἴρηται ἀπὸ τοῦ ἄνδρας λούειν, ὁ δὲ πλούσιος μακάριος καὶ ῾ὁ θάνατος κακὸνʼ τῶν δοξαστῶν τό τε γὰρ τὸν θάνατον τῶν κακῶν εἶναι καὶ τὸν πλοῦτον τῶν ἀγαθῶν ἄδηλον καὶ δοξαστόν.
