τά τε παρὰ τοῖς ποιηταῖς [καὶ συγγραφεῦσιν], ἃ ὁ γραμματικὸς ἑρμηνεύειν φαίνεται, καθάπερ Ὁμήρῳ τε καὶ Ἡσιόδῳ Πινδάρῳ τε καὶ Εὐριπίδῃ καὶ Μενάνδρῳ καὶ τοῖς ἄλλοις, τά τε παρὰ τοῖς συγγραφεῦσιν, οἷον Ἡροδότῳ καὶ Θουκυδίδῃ καὶ Πλάτωνι, ὡς ἴδιον ἔργον μετέρχεται.
