πρὸς τούτοις εἰ τὰ φρονούμενά ἐστιν ὅντα, τὰ μὴ ὅντα οὐ φρονηθήσεται. τοῖς γὰρ ἐναντίοις ἐστιν ἐναντία συμβέβηκεν, ἐναντίον δέ έστι τῷ ὅντι τὸ μὴ ὄν· καὶ διὰ τοῦτο πάντως εἰ τῷ ὄντι συμβέβηκε τὸ φρονεῖσθαι, τῷ μὴ ὄντι συμβήσεται τὸ μὴ φρονεῖσθαι. ἄτοπον δ’ ἐστὶ τοῦτο· καὶ γὰρ Σκύλλα καὶ Χίμαιρα καὶ πολλὰ τῶν μὴ ὄντων φρονεῖται. οὐκ ἄρα τὸ ὂν ὥσπερ τε τὰ ὁρώμενα διὰ τοῦτο
